Wow! These buckles were created by K.M., B.Z., M.B., K.E., J.Z., and L.C. in Senior Jewelry. They use a variety of skills, including hand-sawing, MIG welding, metal lathe-work, riveting, and finishing. Nice work, folks!
Check out the incredible metalwork skills shown by M.B., K.S., and L.C. Each student chooses a design and carefully cuts it out by hand with a small jeweller’s saw. The patience required can be huge, and these students nailed it! (M.B. soldered her copper and nickel silver pieces together to create the husky). Great work!
Beautiful finishing work by N.A.N., T.H., and C.M.: these castings look amazing!
Students design their pendant/keychain, cut and shape 1/8″ steel by hand, temper it with an oxyacetylene torch, then engrave their chosen image onto the piece. Each piece is distinct, and they look great!
Some excellent work done by Grade 9/10 students C.B., W.B., S.J., D.R., D.B., and J.S.. Each piece was designed by the student, carved out of Plaster of Paris, then cast with molten pewter.

J.L. in Grade 12 re-cast these beautiful matching gold pendants from a family heirloom: one for herself, her sister, and her mom. A great example of how significant & timeless jewelry-making can be. Great work, and good luck on your welding ACE-IT program, J.L.!
